Diabetes Education Event Will Present Revolutionary New Treatments and Research to Battle California's Seventh Leading Killer

SACRAMENTO — California’s leading biomedical companies will convene at the state Capitol on April 9, from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., to exhibit several innovative discoveries and technologies used to treat and eventually eliminate diabetes. 

This educational event called Diabetes:  Innovation and Information will feature many of California’s academic and nonprofit research institutions, and biotechnology and medical technology companies that are leading the world in diabetes research and development. From innovative treatments and monitoring systems to the latest stem cell discoveries, the biotech industry will display state-of-the-art products developed to control and eventually eradicate this devastating disease.  In addition to the technology component of the event, there will also be a focus on illustrating how patients can maintain their quality of life through appropriate diet and lifestyle choices.  The event will include diabetes educators, patients living with the disease, and food inspired from the All Natural Diabetes Cookbook.
