Summary - The bill would require the State Department of Public Health to award a grant to the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, in conjunction with the Diabetic Amputation Prevention Foundation, to conduct a diabetes and hypertension prevention and awareness pilot program in south Los Angeles. 

Status - Passed Assembly Health Committee on 04/15/08.  Awaiting Hearing in Assembly Appropriations Committee.
