Will Zasadny serves as CHI-California Healthcare Institutes’s manager of communications. Previously, he served as a communications and marketing associate, joining the organization in Feb. 2013. He is responsible for directing and managing the development and implementation of California Healthcare Institute’s comprehensive communications and media strategy. This includes oversight and production of information designed to keep federal and state legislators, media outlets, membership, prospective members, all CHI staff and others informed of organization’s public policy initiatives, programs, accomplishments, legislation or point of view. Will also manages the production of all CHI white papers, newsletters, op-eds, press releases, media advisories, reports, brochures, graphics, web content and more.
Prior to joining CHI, Will served on the staff of Congressman Brian Bilbray (R-San Diego), a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, where he represented Bilbray to the 50th Congressional District on policy matters of healthcare, defense, transportation, veterans affairs, homeland security and more. Prior to serving on Congressman Bilbray’s staff, Will served in Congressman Duncan Hunter’s office as well as the Iowa State Senate.
In addition to his role at CHI, Will serves as a public affairs officer (PAO) and media relations liaison in the U.S. Army Reserves, holding the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Zasadny earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from San Diego State University.
