Eve Bukowski was appointed vice president of state government affairs in March 2013. In that capacity, Bukowski is responsible for managing CHI’s Sacramento office, where she directs the organization’s state government relations advocacy and outreach activities across a range of issues, including implementation of the Affordable Care Act, tax issues, education and workforce development and environmental regulation.
Prior to joining CHI, Bukowski served as executive director for TechNet, a trade association representing biotechnology, clean technology, high-tech, venture capital firms and social media companies. During her tenure, she was responsible for developing and implementing TechNet’s legislative agenda and strategy. In this capacity, Eve developed strong relationships with leading policymakers, advocating and advancing key issues of importance to the industry before the state Legislature, administration and agencies on behalf of TechNet. Prior to her work there, Bukowski served as the government affairs manager at the Port of Oakland, where she directed all Port interaction with federal, state and local government officials. Bukowski is a member of the California State Bar, and holds a law degree from the UC Davis School of Law and bachelor’s degree in government from Pomona College.
