Stephanie S. Okey, M.S. is currently Head of North America, Rare Diseases and SVP, General Manager US Rare Diseases business, Genzyme, a Sanofi Company. Stephanie has 28 years of industry experience, 26 of those years in biotechnology. She spent 7+ years at Genentech, Inc. and 18 years with Genzyme. Stephanie has had launch or commercialization experience with eight orphan disease therapeutics; one with REMS designation, and 4 large market therapeutic agents. She has significant experience in the commercialization of orphan disease products and bringing therapeutic agents to health care providers and patients in a patient centric business model.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University and a Master of Science Degree, Immunology and Medical Microbiology from Wright State University.
Stephanie resides in Newport Beach, CA with her husband, Mark and daughter, Paige, 15, who is currently a sophomore at Sage Hill School. Son, Chris, 20, graduated from Newport Harbor High and is a sophomore at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana.
