CHI Blog: Executive Spotlight: Melinda Richter, Executive Director, San Jose BioCenter

CHI's Nicole Beckstrand  recently spoke with Melinda Richter, executive director of San Jose BioCenter, about the organization's unique model for innovation for the biomedical industry. Richter is the co-founder and director of the University of California at Berkeley’s BioExec Program , co-founder and director of InnovateMD and a member of the board of the following organizations the National Business Incubation Association , University of California Berkeley’s Haas School of Business BioExecutive Institute  and San Jose State University’s Masters of Biotechnology Program . The  award-winning BioCenter model provides big company infrastructure, such as specialized facilities, capital, equipment, laboratory and business staff, for small companies in order for them to survive and prove out their science.
