Op-Ed: Congressman Ed Royce Believes Public Health Option Will Distort Competition

Investor's Business Daily published an Op-Ed by Congressman Ed Royce (CA-40) about how a public option in healthcare will distort competition in the healthcare industry. Royce called attention to the creation of Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac to show how competition was crushed by these government-backed firms. Royce believes instead of a public health option to drive down health costs, legislators should focus on improving or reforming other operations that already exist in the healthcare system.
