CHI Policy Agendas Outline Priorities for 2009

In what promises to be a turbulent and challenging year ahead at the state and federal levels, CHI will focus resources in the following public policy areas:

FDA regulatory policies and process, including follow-on biologics and preemption; Government coverage and reimbursement policies, including comparative effectiveness research;

Biomedical research and education, including NIH and NSF funding and workforce development; Intellectual property, including patent reform;

Business and regulatory environment, including state and federal tax policies; Environmental issues.
